The Awaking-Kate Chopin The Awakening, a short apologue written by Kate Chopin has a lot of different elements of fiction included. The plot, theme, symbolism, and addressing the protagonist in the falsehood are some, besides non all, of the different elements portrayed in the, The Awakening. Edna Pontellier is bingle of the main characters in this story. Her and her family goes on vacation, where she has an affair with Robert. Robert is know slightly the Isle for choosing a different woman each year, which is married, and plays att revokeant to that woman. They ii devote an affair, and fall for each other. Edna and Robert have more feelings for each other than they are letting be known. Edna run bloomers fri expirys with Adele, and through Adele she starts to recognize self discovery, or awakening. Because of her relationship with Robert, Edna starts to frame bored with her husband. She starts to look more forward to her time all in all than her time with her family and husband. Edna likes to be alone, and not feel as if she is be owned by her husband. When she goes back to New Orleans she starts to winder again, and do those things which she did when she was in her youth. Edna ignores al of her social responsibilities. Her husband, Leonce, becomes worried more or less his wife, and looks for help.

He finds help from the family physician. The family physician, Doctor Mandelet, suspects that the mode Edna is behaving is because she is having an affair. He does not inform Leonce of his suspicions, instead he suggests to Leonce that he lets Ednas smorgasbord run its cover. If he did not let it run its dustup it wou! ld only make Edna want to rebel more. Leonce allows Edna to stay al-Qaeda alone while he has to work. Edna cannot keep herself a guidance from Robert, yet he cannot act on his feelings because he knows that Edna is married. At the end of, The Awakening. Edna commits suicide.
